LERSA, ETI-OSA EAST LCDA, LAWMA, NURTW, COMMENCE ENVIRONMENTAL SANITATION AT AJAH UNDERBRIDGE AND CHEVRON DRIVE

The Lekki Estates Residents and Stakeholders Association (LERSA), in collaboration with the Eti-Osa East Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Lagos Waste Management Authority (LAWMA), the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) today commenced an environmental sanitation exercise at Ajah Underbridge and Chevron Drive.
The exercise is in line with the Lagos State monthly environmental sanitation directive.
The Chairman of the LERSA Environment Committee, Mrs. Ronke Akinete, and the Executive Vice Chairman of Eti-Osa East LCDA, Hon. Sheriff Olubuse Azeez, were present to ensure proper sanitation was carried out. Comrade Segun Opoola (Buredy), Chairman of NURTW, Ajah Branch, facilitated the NURTW team to join the sanitation exercise.
NURTW members participated in clearing refuse from motor parks and loading zones within the operational areas.
Residents and commercial operators in the affected zones are advised to desist from indiscriminate waste dumping, as violators will face prosecution under existing environmental laws.
